Education: Acting Apprentice Program

1985-2006: Overview of Educational Programming at the Not-for-Profit Playhouse

Young adults applied annually to be accepted for the multicultural cast of this pivotal program. The Playhouse generally accepted six to eight applicants. To enrich their development, the apprentices learned theater techniques and stagecraft skills. To serve the larger community, they were the cast of the plays presented in the In-School Touring Program and occasionally were a part of mainstage productions.
