You Never Know

“You Never Know” with music and lyrics by Cole Porter, additional lyrics by Leigh and Edwin Gilbert, book by Rowland Leigh, adapted from the original European play, By Candlelight, by Siegfried Geyer, Karl Farkas and Robert Katscher. It is a musical comedy about Baron Rommer who switches identities with his butler to pursue a woman he believes is a lady of a much higher class. It transpires that she is actually a maid in the service of Madame Baltin, a high society figure who has captured the baron’s heart.
