“Urban Cowboy” is a world premiere musical with music by legendary country western songwriters Clint Black, Charlie Daniels and others. Additional music and lyrics by Jason Robert Brown and Jeff Blumenkrantz, book by Aaron Latham and Phillip Oesterman. Based on the1980 film of the same name, which was inspired by the country music scene in urban settings like Houston, Texas. Production then opened on Broadway and received two Tony Nominations (choreography and score).
