For Pre-schoolers
In conjunction with the Miami-Dade school system and local social service agencies, the Playhouse offered a creative arts program targeted to “at risk” preschoolers. The “Creative Dramatics” program offered classes for children 5-12 that aimed to foster appreciation for theater as well as to encourage development of skills, such as building a positive self-image, communication, imagination, and collaboration. To accomplish this, children worked on play-writing, acting, improvisation, theater games, movement, dance, and music.
